Job Description
A Mid-Level Microsoft Systems Administrator responsible for supporting and managing Microsoft cloud and endpoint environments in an SMB setting, including administration of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and security tools, while providing user support and helping modernize IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams
- Manage user onboarding, offboarding, licensing, permissions, and collaboration tools
- Administer Entra ID Azure AD, including user and group management, MFA, and conditional access
- Support Microsoft Intune and Action1 for device enrollment, configuration, and compliance
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for endpoint, identity, and M365 issues
- Perform day-to-day Azure administration tasks such as managing subscriptions, resource groups, and RBAC
- Implement and maintain security best practices across Microsoft platforms
- Assist with Defender tools for endpoint and Office 365 security
- Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for administrative automation
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Coordinate with vendors and Microsoft support as needed
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of experience administering Microsoft environments, including hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID Azure AD
- Working knowledge of Azure fundamentals
- Experience with Intune or endpoint management tools
- Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Experience supporting users directly in an SMB environment
