The Business Development Manager at Cypress Creek Renewables is responsible for expanding the company's operations and maintenance services by building client relationships, managing proposals and contracts, and developing go-to-market strategies within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and research potential clients in target markets
Conduct outreach to prospective clients through networks and meetings
Present Cypress Creek Solutions' services and value proposition to clients
Manage proposal development and execution in collaboration with stakeholders
Follow up with clients to maintain engagement in RFP processes and refine proposals
Track opportunities and account outreach in CRM systems
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
Stay informed on industry news and client developments to inform go-to-market strategies
Negotiate commercial and technical contract terms with clients
Support account management efforts to secure additional business and scope expansion
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, construction, or engineering; MBA or other advanced degree is valued but not required.
Minimum of 5 years of account management or business development experience in the energy industry.
Experience developing or working directly in pricing models focused on operations and maintenance services is highly valued.
Experience negotiating operations and maintenance services contracts with an eye for profitability and risk reduction is highly valued.
Strong network of renewable industry relationships.
Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales.
Deep understanding of the industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job.
Technical expertise in solar, storage, and substation assets is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Location: This role will be based out of CCR’s Durham, NC office in the Research Triangle, following a hybrid schedule of working in the office three days per week.
