Job Description
The Production Labor Factor Analyst conducts detailed analysis of labor factors within the production department to identify trends, improve accuracy, and support continuous improvement initiatives, primarily through data reporting and collaboration with various teams in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed labor hour analysis to production, customer program management, and management teams on a regular basis.
- Analyze and report on labor factor actuals versus projections, identifying trends and opportunities for accuracy improvements.
- Review and report statistical data on Variable Labor Factor (VLF) accuracy, suggesting modifications as needed.
- Collaborate with departments to identify program issues, trends, and opportunities.
- Conduct detailed production analysis, including time gates affecting hourly distribution and capacity planning.
- Assist in industrialization processes to project labor hours.
- Approve and confirm labor factor change requests to ensure standards and accuracy.
- Audit work instruction standards related to labor types.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years experience in the field of manufacturing and or aerospace repair in a responsible position.
- Proven experience as a self-starter who can work independently and apply strong conceptual thinking in identifying trends and effective solutions with minimal direction.
- Previous experience with projects and assignments that demonstrate a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks and initiatives within defined timelines.
- A two or four-year degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability and experience to create, troubleshoot, and optimize complex Excel formulas.
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Pre-employment testing requirements that may require fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
- Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
- Able to stand and/or sit for portions of the shift.
- Able to manually operate office equipment.
