Job Description
A Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing and implementing advanced research and development equipment and complex machinery for fusion energy technology, collaborating across engineering teams to ensure safety, reliability, and high performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced R&D equipment and complex machinery
- Collaborate across engineering and technology functions to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and high performance
- Solve complex design problems related to machinery and equipment
- Mentor and guide other team members in engineering tasks
Requirements
- Possess strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering related to the design and implementation of advanced research and development equipment and complex machinery.
- Have procedural discipline necessary for designing and implementing complex machinery and equipment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and technology functions to ensure the development of safe, reliable, and high-performance equipment.
- Experience working on complex design problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to mentor others in mechanical engineering practices and problem-solving.
- Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information, specifically Export Control Laws, as a condition of employment.
