Job Description
The Lead Production Technician at Commonwealth Fusion Systems leads a team in building high-temperature superconducting magnets and assemblies for fusion devices, focusing on improving production processes, maintaining schedules, and ensuring quality across mechanical, electrical, cryogenic, and pneumatic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team building high-temperature superconducting magnets and assemblies for fusion devices
- Improve production processes continuously
- Maintain production schedules and allocate resources effectively
- Ensure quality standards are met according to documentation
- Work hands-on with mechanical, electrical, magnetic, cryogenic, pressure, vacuum, and pneumatic systems
Requirements
- Experience leading a team in a fast-paced and agile environment, specifically in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Hands-on experience working with mechanical, electrical, magnetic, cryogenic, pressure, vacuum, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to continuously improve production tasks and processes.
- Ability to maintain production schedules with proper resource allocation.
- Ability to assure that quality requirements are met according to documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in building or assembling high-precision components, such as superconducting magnets or similar assemblies.
- Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information, specifically Export Control Laws.
- Willingness to work onsite at Commonwealth Fusion Systems facilities.
