Job Description

The Senior Manager of Controls Engineering leads the development and management of automated manufacturing systems for high-temperature superconducting magnets, overseeing the full lifecycle from design to operations, and ensuring technical excellence in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the development and success of automated manufacturing systems for high-temperature superconducting magnets.
Translate technical strategy into actionable plans and guide the team through the full lifecycle of custom machinery, from design and procurement to commissioning and operations.
Drive technical excellence and ensure high-quality results in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

Experience in leading controls engineering teams responsible for automated manufacturing systems, specifically for high-temperature superconducting magnets.
Ability to translate technical strategy into actionable plans and guide a team through the full lifecycle of custom machinery, including design, procurement, commissioning, and sustaining operations.
Proven track record of cascading vision, driving technical excellence, and ensuring high-quality results in an ambitious production environment.
Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to remove obstacles and guide team members effectively.
Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information, including Export Control Laws, as a condition of employment.
