Job Description
A Senior Financial Analyst at Commonwealth Fusion Systems supports the company's financial planning and analysis functions by managing budgets, analyzing variances, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with internal teams to drive cost efficiency and strategic decision-making in the pursuit of fusion energy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support various functions by providing timely and accurate financial data on budgets, resourcing, and actual results
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate budget mapping and data integrity
- Monitor purchase orders and analyze budget variances
- Contribute to the financial reporting process
- Assist in developing the company's long-term financial strategy and understanding product unit economics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting financial planning and analysis functions.
- Experience in monitoring purchase orders, analyzing budget variances, and contributing to financial reporting processes.
- Ability to support various functions and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate budget mapping and data integrity.
- Strong understanding of budgets, resourcing, and actual results to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze product unit economics and support the development of long-term financial strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with budget leaders and support process improvements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Compliance with U.S. export control laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information, with employment contingent on such compliance.
