Job Description
A Senior Controls Engineer responsible for developing and leading complex machine and process control solutions, providing technical expertise, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the design and implementation of fusion energy systems at Commonwealth Fusion Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop execution approaches for complex machine and process concepts with minimal supervision
- Generate detailed work plans and establish milestones for complex projects
- Define processes that impact the broader department
- Act as a technical leader providing expertise for long-term assignments
- Mentor junior engineering staff
Requirements
- Deep understanding of core control functions and specific domain expertise relevant to controls engineering.
- Ability to take independent ownership of developing execution approaches for complex machine and process concepts with minimal direction from management.
- Experience in generating detailed work plans and defining milestones for complex work projects.
- Ability to define processes that impact the broader department.
- Experience acting as a technical leader, providing expertise for long-term assignments.
- Experience mentoring junior engineering staff.
