Job Description

A Principal R D Technical Project Manager at Commonwealth Fusion Systems is responsible for leading and managing complex research and development projects focused on developing, testing, and delivering innovative fusion energy systems, utilizing proven project management practices in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Drive one or more research and development projects related to complex, first-of-a-kind systems.
Apply proven project management best practices to develop, test, and deliver advanced systems.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and objectives are met.

Requirements

Proven experience in project management practices applied to the development, testing, and delivery of complex, first-of-a-kind systems.
Ability to drive one or more projects within an advanced research and development division.
Demonstrated capability to manage projects that involve developing, testing, and delivering complex systems that are unique or innovative.
Experience working in fast-paced environments that require integrity, execution, impact, and self-critique.
Ability to apply proven project management best practices effectively in a research and development context.
Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws), with employment contingent upon such compliance.
