A Metrology Engineer is responsible for developing, validating, and implementing inspection methods for complex hardware, working closely with various engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure hardware meets performance and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, validate, and deploy inspection methods for highly engineered hardware.
Work hands-on with complex parts and advanced measurement systems.
Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Design Engineering, Quality, and R&D to ensure hardware meets performance and reliability standards.
Define inspection strategy and tooling.
Document measurement methods and present results.
Continuously improve metrology processes to support production and engineering teams.
Requirements
Experience in developing, validating, and deploying inspection methods for highly engineered hardware, with hands-on work with complex parts and advanced measurement systems.
Ability to partner closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Design Engineering, Quality, and R&D teams to ensure hardware meets demanding performance and reliability requirements.
Proficiency in solving ambiguous measurement problems and building repeatable processes that scale.
Experience in defining inspection strategy and tooling, documenting measurement methods, and presenting results.
Strong communication skills to clearly convey technical information across disciplines.
Ownership of the entire inspection process from strategy development to documentation and continuous improvement.
Availability to work the second shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm or the third shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.
Educational background or experience relevant to metrology, measurement systems, or related engineering fields (implied but not explicitly specified).

Salary range: $99,000 - $159,000 with 10 shift differential
