A hands-on Manufacturing Engineer responsible for leading weekend production operations of high-temperature superconducting magnets in a fast-paced, first-of-a-kind manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and process standardization during off-hours.
Key Responsibilities
Lead weekend manufacturing operations for high-temperature superconducting magnets.
Ensure safe and efficient production processes in a First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) environment.
Maintain team focus, engagement, and high performance during weekend shifts.
Troubleshoot and resolve first-time manufacturing challenges to develop standardized, repeatable processes.
Make informed decisions under pressure and influence technicians to operate effectively.
Requirements
Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar manufacturing role with a hands-on approach.
Ability to lead and coordinate weekend manufacturing operations, specifically for shifts from Friday through Sunday, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Proven ability to serve as a technical anchor for manufacturing processes, ensuring safe and efficient production of high-temperature superconducting magnets in a First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) manufacturing environment.
Capability to lead through influence, make sound decisions under pressure, and bring clarity to ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
Experience in turning first-time challenges into scalable, repeatable processes within a manufacturing setting.
Skill in standardizing novel problems and developing repeatable processes in a FOAK environment where the product is being designed while the machine is being built.
Ability to keep technicians focused, engaged, and operating at a high level during weekend shifts.
Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information, including adherence to Export Control Laws.
Willingness to work onsite at Commonwealth Fusion Systems' facility during scheduled weekend shifts.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $103,000 - $166,000 including a 15% shift differential
Work schedule from Friday to Sunday, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
