Job Description
The Director of SPARC Plant Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, staffing, and continuous improvement efforts of the SPARC fusion plant to ensure its reliable and efficient functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure ongoing operations of the SPARC plant.
- Manage availability of trained staff for daily operations and outage handling.
- Oversee preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure all necessary consumables are stocked and available.
- Lead continuous improvement Kaizen projects.
Requirements
- Experience managing or overseeing plant operations, with a focus on fusion or high-technology manufacturing environments.
- Ability to ensure ongoing operations of the SPARC plant, including managing daily operations and handling outages.
- Experience conducting preventive maintenance to ensure continuous plant operation.
- Ability to ensure all consumables required to run the plant are stocked and available.
- Experience leading or managing a trained staff capable of supporting daily operations and outage handling.
- Proven track record of carrying out continuous improvement projects, such as Kaizen initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments driven by values of integrity, execution, impact, and self-critique.
- Ability to comply with U.S. export control laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information.
