Job Description
This entry-level position supports wind turbine operations and maintenance by assisting with inspections, basic repairs, and operational tasks, while completing training to become a qualified wind technician. The role involves safety procedures, troubleshooting, and site support to help ensure efficient wind farm operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic maintenance, inspections, and operational tasks on wind turbines
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
- Complete training and on-the-job tasks to become a qualified wind technician
- Troubleshoot and assist in repairing wind turbine mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and hand tools
- Support site operations as directed by supervisors
- Help with electrical, mechanical, and SCADA communication system troubleshooting
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
- Able to climb towers unassisted up to 300 feet.
- Able to work safely in a confined space.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
- Possess demonstrable mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
- Able to work with electrical wires and differentiate between color coded wires.
- Able to work safely in a wide range of adverse climates and environments.
- Able to travel as required.
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams is preferred.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing and work without direct supervision during the performance of work.
- Able to create, edit or modify Microsoft Word and Excel documents.
- Must meet the requirements of Clearway Energy Group’s Qualified Electrical Worker program.

Salary Range: $41,600 - $49,920 USD annually
Eligible to earn an annual cash bonus
