Job Description
The Power Market Fundamentals Analyst conducts market research, supports energy market modeling, and analyzes data related to power markets, policy developments, and capacity expansion to inform strategic decision-making within a clean energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market analysis research on policy developments, technological changes, and market dynamics affecting energy supply, demand, and pricing.
- Support the development and refinement of energy market forecasting models through data collection, analysis, and validation.
- Organize and maintain databases, automate data management processes, and facilitate data sharing across departments.
- Present data findings and visualizations using tools like Excel and Power BI.
Requirements
- Approximately one year of experience in energy, analytics, market research, or data analysis internships, part-time work, or full-time employment.
- Experience with programming in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages.
- Working experience with statistical modeling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Power, Economics, Business, or a comparable field.
