Key Responsibilities
Conduct economic analyses and collect evidence to support expert opinions and business recommendations
Perform regression analyses using statistical software such as Stata, Python, or R, including large data projects with cloud computing
Build economic models tailored to specific issues and support expert opinions
Contribute to the development and presentation of client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers
Interact with clients to communicate complex economic concepts clearly and accessibly
Manage and mentor junior staff members
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of analyses and opinions
Participate in practice-building activities such as training, recruiting, and publication
Requirements
Candidates must hold a PhD in Economics from a well-regarded institution with a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialisation in industrial economics and/or econometrics, or alternatively, non-PhD applicants must have a Master of Economics and at least 3 years of relevant work experience within economic consulting or with a competition authority.
Candidates must have the ability to conduct analyses and collect evidence from data and research that support expert opinions and business recommendations.
Candidates must be able to perform regression analyses in statistical analysis programs such as Stata, Python, or R, including large data projects requiring the use of cloud computing.
Candidates must be able to build economic models tailored to specific issues to support expert opinions and business recommendations.
