Job Description
A Senior Accountant role responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP within a collaborative consulting firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger through journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of account balances
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations
- Support the preparation of internal financial statements, SEC filings, earnings releases, and investor materials
- Interpret financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with general ledger close processes, including allocations, FX rates, and consolidations
- Assist with external auditor requests related to audits and SOX compliance
- Train, mentor, and oversee staff accountants
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls
- Participate in special projects, ad hoc analyses, and cross-functional initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Trustworthy with attention to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle and Workday.
- Previous experience working for a US publicly traded company preferred.
- Experience with SOX controls preferred.

Salary range: $92,500 - $100,000
Work schedule: 3 days in the office per week with specific days coordinated with team
