Job Description
The position involves leading transmission market analysis and planning projects within CRA's energy practice, providing technical expertise, managing client relationships, and delivering data-driven insights to support energy market transitions and infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analyze data related to transmission planning and market analysis
- Provide technical expertise and lead engagements with utility clients on transmission planning and rate design
- Manage client engagements from sourcing to final delivery with minimal oversight
- Deliver presentations and reports to communicate complex findings to clients
- Serve as a thought leader in market analysis and transmission planning
- Support public stakeholder meetings and engage with senior management
- Identify new business opportunities and develop value-added products and services for clients
- Oversee project teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure successful project execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Economics, Engineering Management, or related fields.
- Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in transmission market analysis.
- At least 5 years of professional experience directly managing or leading the work of others.
- Experience supporting public stakeholder meetings and company executive meetings.
- Extensive experience managing project teams and clients.
- Demonstrated success in selling client engagements and maintaining these relationships over time.
- Experience developing, working with, and interpreting output from complex market and grid planning models.
- Excellent presentation skills and writing ability.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and willingness to provide mentorship and supervision to junior staff members.

Salary range of $175,000 - $250,000 with potential for bonus incentive compensation
