Job Description
A senior software engineering role focused on designing and building high-performance big data management systems, providing technical leadership, and developing features to support Celonis's process mining platform and its transformation to an object-centric paradigm.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance, scalable backend systems for process mining technology
- Develop features and algorithms supporting the transformation to an object-centric platform paradigm
- Drive innovation in system architecture to handle increasing request rates
- Promote best practices in database usage and end-to-end system design
- Mentor and lead engineering team members to improve development practices
- Write production-quality code and lead development procedures
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related field; Masters or Ph.D. preferred
- 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Proficient in Java programming and familiar with Spring frameworks
- Experience with containerization technologies e.g., Docker, Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools e.g., Spark, Hadoop and performance tuning
- Strong organizational, collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with SQL processing, query planning and optimization, or query engine internals is a big plus

Base salary range: $194,000 - $260,000 USD
