Job Description
A DevOps or Platform Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable systems using modern cloud and orchestration technologies, with a focus on automation, monitoring, and collaboration across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale services on Kubernetes clusters
- Automate operational tasks and manage infrastructure as code
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
- Monitor environments by integrating telemetry and observability tools
- Support and resolve incidents in production environments
- Develop and maintain backend services in Java with Spring Boot
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable end-to-end solutions
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on DevOps practices
- Guide the technical roadmap to ensure systems meet modern standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience owning complex systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitOps ArgoCD.
- Solid knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Strong expertise in Java Spring Boot with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of distributed system architectures and concurrency patterns.
- Experience in designing, building, and scaling services, and automating operational tasks using the latest technologies and practices.
- Ability to monitor and manage environments by integrating telemetry and observability into the platform.
- Experience in designing, supporting, and driving the investigation and resolution of incidents and issues in production environments.
- Experience collaborating with Product, Platform, SRE, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions with high availability and reliability.
- Experience conducting code reviews, promoting best practices, and mentoring junior developers on DevOps topics.
- Ability to guide a technical roadmap to ensure systems are up to the most modern standards and best practices.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience with automation of operational tasks and infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Kustomize.
- Experience working with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and modern cloud monitoring and observability frameworks such as Datadog.
- Familiarity with ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, and related tools is a plus.
- Experience working with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka, or similar systems.
- Comfort with Scrum, Kanban, and Jira-based planning methodologies.
- Excellent English communication skills and a proactive, continuous-learning mindset.
- Familiarity with GO language or strong willingness to learn GO.
