Job Description
A Senior Backend Engineer at Celonis is responsible for developing and maintaining robust Java-based microservices, designing APIs, improving system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative process mining solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build new features and implement robust public APIs
- Take ownership of the feature delivery lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance
- Improve the reliability and stability of software products
- Propose, define, and release new software functionalities
- Collaborate with Product Management and UX teams to understand user requirements
- Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to talent retention and attraction
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in building JAVA web applications professionally.
- Ability to write clear, understandable, and testable code with a continuous focus on maintainability, performance, security, and stability.
- Working experience with Java, Maven, Spring Frameworks, and REST APIs.
- Can-do attitude able to solve complex problems with limited supervision.
- Enjoys sharing knowledge, working, and collaborating with other teams across the organization.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
