Job Description
The Senior Value Engineer in Life Sciences at Celonis is responsible for translating operational data into strategic value for healthcare clients, driving process improvements, and ensuring the adoption of the Process Intelligence Platform to achieve measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate complex operational data into clear value drivers for healthcare clients
- Identify and map strategic priorities to high-impact Celonis use cases
- Architect solutions that connect data across the value chain to optimize processes
- Build data-backed business cases demonstrating operational and financial impact
- Lead value workstreams for pilots and implementations, ensuring effective process monitoring
- Guide customers on using Celonis to provide context for AI agents and process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address implementation challenges and define standards
- Facilitate workshops to identify process enhancement opportunities and derive improvement measures
- Present results and value realization outcomes to senior management and C-level executives
- Develop reusable assets and best practices for the Value Engineering team
- Act as a senior resource to mentor junior engineers and share industry and process expertise
- Provide feedback to product teams for platform enhancements based on customer needs
- Manage the end-to-end customer value journey, including adoption, expansion, and renewal
Requirements
- Deep Industry Experience of at least 5 years in Finance, Supply Chain, or Operations, ideally combining time at a Pharmaceutical MedTech company with Management Consulting or Sales Engineering.
- Granular knowledge of the life sciences value chain, specifically in areas such as Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Operations, or Commercial Supply Chain.
- Proven track record of identifying operational inefficiencies and driving them to resolution, with the ability to impact the P&L through process improvement and technology deployment.
- Good knowledge of Business Software SaaS applications e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Veeva, and experience with data visualization, SQL, or Python is a strong plus.
- Experience presenting to and working with senior stakeholders, with the ability to navigate complex internal structures and clearly communicate value to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and set own direction within an account team to achieve the best results.
- Degree in Industrial Business Engineering, Life Sciences, Informatics, Mathematics, or a similar field.
- Ability to travel mainly domestically up to 35%.
- Responsible for the end-to-end customer value journey, including landing, expanding, adoption, and renewing, with the ability to build a strategic expansion roadmap for customers.
- Provide feedback to product development teams to enhance the platform based on new use cases.
- Serve as a senior resource for the team, helping junior engineers understand life sciences terminology, process nuances, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with technical process mining and strategic business outcomes in healthcare or life sciences industries.
