Job Description
The Senior Applied AI Engineer at Celonis works directly with customers to identify high-impact AI opportunities, design and prototype AI solutions using the Process Intelligence platform and modern AI technologies, and drive adoption to deliver measurable business value through innovative AI applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify high-impact AI opportunities by understanding customer objectives and challenges
- Design scalable AI-powered solutions integrating the Celonis Process Intelligence platform with modern AI technologies
- Prototype AI solutions to demonstrate tangible business value
- Facilitate workshops and innovation sessions to explore AI transformation opportunities with customers
- Partner with customer teams to ensure successful AI solution implementation, adoption, and value realization
- Develop deep domain expertise in industries such as supply chain and finance
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience in solutions consulting, data AI consulting, technical pre-sales, sales engineering, value engineering, or customer-facing solution-architecture or AI roles.
- Ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to business and executive stakeholders.
- Good understanding of business processes across sectors such as Supply Chain or Finance, with the ability to translate high-level business needs into specific AI use cases.
- Strong presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholders, including executives, whether during whiteboarding sessions, formal readouts, or demos.
- Experience prototyping solutions with Python and modern AI frameworks.
- Familiarity with Generative AI architectures such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, or agent-based systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to identify high-impact AI opportunities by working closely with enterprise customers to understand their strategic priorities and operational challenges.
- Ability to design AI-powered solutions by translating complex business problems into scalable AI solution architectures combining the Celonis Process Intelligence platform with modern AI technologies.
- Experience building or deploying generative AI applications (preferred but not mandatory).
