Job Description

A working student role focused on contributing to the development and maintenance of Celonis's design system, supporting the creation of consistent, accessible, and scalable user interface foundations for enterprise software products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the design system, including component libraries, token architecture, and design standards.
  • Create resources and documentation for designers and engineers using tools like supernova.io.
  • Design and refine motion systems, interaction patterns, and information architecture within the product.
  • Incorporate AI indicators into the component landscape and extend the semantic tokens system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain consistency, accessibility, and scalability across the platform.

Requirements

  • A deep passion for top-tier design and delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including a strong understanding of its features such as components, auto-layout, and libraries.
  • A keen interest in the design system community, coupled with a drive to innovate future systems, tools, and workflows.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adaptability and an open-minded approach to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A basic understanding of technical constraints and how to design solutions that can be effectively engineered for a specific platform (nice to have).
  • Understanding of existing industry-leading design system best practices (nice to have).
  • Experience in leveraging and contributing to a design system, even a small one (nice to have).
  • Awareness about the value of driving accessible solutions at scale and advocating for inclusive experiences across platforms (nice to have).
  • A passion for complex data visualizations (nice to have).
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week for a duration of one year.
  • Recent graduate status or no university enrollment required, indicating the role is intended for recent graduates.
