Job Description
A Product Data Scientist at Celonis analyzes and interprets data related to user behavior, product performance, and infrastructure to generate insights, build models, and support data-driven decision making within a fast-growing SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate data-driven insights to support strategic and tactical decision making.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to understand business problems and define data solutions.
- Build data pipelines for new data sources and develop machine learning models.
- Create visualizations and narratives to communicate findings and facilitate data-driven discussions.
- Perform statistical analysis and modeling on various data sources to optimize resources and improve products.
- Collaborate across teams to gather data, perform analysis, and deliver insights at scale.
- Refine data engineering processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Present analytical findings effectively to stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a strong focus on Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science; a Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Product Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist, or similar role, partnering with product, engineering, or growth teams.
- Technical competence with analytical tools for data extraction, visualization, and analysis, specifically SQL, Python, and Pandas.
- Strong understanding of statistical techniques and machine learning.
- Experience working with large datasets and predictive modeling.
- Outcome-oriented with strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize multiple objectives while meeting aggressive deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working in agile teams using collaboration software like Jira or similar.
- Eagerness to work in a fast-growing organization with diverse and international teams spread across multiple locations.
