Job Description
The role involves overseeing the preparation and audit of statutory financial statements for multiple legal entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, managing external auditor relationships, and driving automation in financial reporting processes within a global SaaS company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation, audit, and filing of annual statutory financial statements for assigned legal entities
- Ensure financial reporting complies with IFRS and local GAAP standards
- Manage relationships with external auditors and facilitate efficient audit processes
- Collaborate with tax, legal, and technical accounting departments to support local reporting requirements
- Drive automation in the financial reporting cycle and assist with Workiva implementation
Requirements
- 7 years of accounting experience, preferably 3 in statutory reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local reporting frameworks, with a preference for experience with German GAAP
- Experience working with Workday or Workiva is a plus
- Ability to ensure all reporting is compliant with IFRS and Local GAAP where applicable
- Ability to stay ahead of new accounting standards and implement necessary changes in a timely manner
- Attention to discrepancies and a commitment to precision
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Dependable with deliverables and deadlines, able to multi-task
- Ability to act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage efficient audit processes
- Experience overseeing the preparation, audit, and filing of annual statutory financial statements for multiple legal entities (approximately 8 entities)
