Job Description
The Head of Marketing Planning and Operations at Celonis is a leadership role responsible for driving strategic alignment, operational excellence, and process optimization across the global marketing organization, including planning, budgeting, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize marketing impact and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic alignment and operational excellence across the global marketing organization
- Oversee annual and quarterly planning cycles, budget management, and performance analysis
- Build and govern a unified, iterative marketing planning framework
- Manage end-to-end marketing production flows for seamless execution
- Analyze and optimize global marketing budgets using real-time data
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency and strategic alignment
- Develop and implement governance standards for scalable marketing execution
- Implement reporting mechanisms to inform strategic and tactical marketing decisions
- Build and test MVPs to enhance operational processes using advanced technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
- 8 years of experience in strategic marketing operations, planning, or analytics
- At least 4 years of experience in senior cross-functional leadership roles
- Proven experience establishing unified planning and governance frameworks for global marketing operations
- Proven experience optimizing complex global marketing production processes
- Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics, financial planning, and reporting tools, including experience with marketing dashboards and KPIs
- Exceptional budget analysis and optimization skills, with demonstrated ability to identify and act upon critical performance-driven insights
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to influence and align teams across levels around operational frameworks and strategic goals
- Hands-on experience with marketing technology platforms, project management methodologies, and system integration
- Ability to lead system optimization and integration for enhanced operational performance
- Critical thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate data sets into actionable insights for executive decision-making
