Job Description
A Full Stack Software Engineer at Celonis is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core backend and frontend services, collaborating on microservice architecture, and ensuring the deployment and monitoring of applications to support process automation solutions in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop backend services using Java with Spring Boot and maintain existing systems
- Design microservices and integrate services
- Implement and enhance frontend features with Angular
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
- Deploy and operate applications on Kubernetes clusters
- Instrument and monitor services using Datadog, define SLOs and SLIs
- Participate in on-call rotations during standard business hours
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Conduct code reviews, promote best practices, and mentor junior developers
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience owning complex systems
- Strong Java Spring Boot expertise with RESTful APIs and microservices
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka message brokers, or similar systems
- Familiarity with Angular or equivalent modern SPA frameworks
- Familiarity with CI CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitOps ArgoCD
- Some familiarity with Kubernetes deployments
- Comfort with Scrum, Kanban, and Jira-based planning
- Excellent English communication and a proactive, continuous-learning mindset
