The role involves leading and developing an engineering team to build innovative process observability solutions that enable cross-organization data sharing and process improvement, with a focus on team management, collaboration, and technical oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the engineering team to successfully deliver their mission
Oversee performance management and support career development of team members
Build and maintain a culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration within the team
Drive hiring processes and grow the engineering team
Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and other stakeholders on goals and strategies
Promote team collaboration and resolve impediments quickly
Ensure technical decisions are aligned with overall objectives and facilitate team success
Define and divide responsibilities among team members for efficient workflow
Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders with transparency
Support the team in technical conflict resolution and problem-solving
Requirements
3 years of experience in an Engineering Manager role with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale technical projects
Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
Strong technical knowledge
5 years of experience in software development, with overall 10 years of experience in the Software engineering field
Experience working with Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, microservices
Working experience in DevOps, Docker, and CI/CD concepts and technology
Proficiency in establishing and handling agile development methodologies and lean principle techniques such as Scrum, Kanban, and Continuous Delivery
Proficiency in project management, relationship building, and stakeholder management
Strong understanding of at least one of the Business Domains that Celonis operates in, such as Order Management, Procurement, Accounts Receivable, or Accounts Payable
Ability to resolve technical conflicts and provide a positive environment for escalations
Strong communication skills in English, allowing collaboration across business and technical domains
Readiness to actively support the team by rolling up sleeves and helping with technical and operational challenges
