Job Description
The Engineering Manager will lead and develop a team of engineers working on innovative process observability projects at Celonis, focusing on fostering collaboration, managing technical delivery, and driving strategic goals within a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver their mission
- Develop and support the career growth of team members
- Foster a culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration within the team
- Define and divide responsibilities among team members for efficient workflow
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and stakeholders on goals and strategies
- Drive hiring processes and team expansion
- Promote team collaboration and resolve impediments quickly
- Ensure technical decisions are aligned with overall objectives and facilitate team success
- Manage team performance and provide performance feedback
- Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in an Engineering Manager role
- Track record of successfully delivering large-scale technical projects
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
- Strong technical knowledge
- 5 years of experience in software development, with overall 10 years of experience in the Software engineering field
- Experience in working with Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, microservices
- Working experience in DevOps, Docker and CI/CD concepts and technology
- Proficiency in establishing and handling agile development methodologies and lean principle techniques such as Scrum, Kanban, and Continuous Delivery
- Proficiency in project management, relationship building, and stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of at least one of the Business Domains that Celonis operates in, such as Order Management, Procurement, Accounts Receivable, or Accounts Payable
- Ability to resolve technical conflicts and provide a positive environment for escalations
- Strong communication skills in English, allowing smooth collaboration across business and technical domains
