Job Description

A Technical Product Marketing Manager at Canonical is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies for the company's security and compliance products, translating technical capabilities into compelling messaging, and collaborating across teams to drive awareness and growth in a remote, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop go-to-market strategies and execute campaigns for security and compliance products
  • Translate technical product capabilities into clear messaging for diverse audiences
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand product roadmaps and use cases
  • Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends to define product differentiation
  • Plan and produce content, events, and webinars to promote the security portfolio
  • Use data and insights to optimize demand generation strategies and conversion rates

Requirements

  • Deep technical understanding of security and compliance products, including the ability to understand product roadmaps, technical capabilities, and customer use cases.
  • Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for security and compliance products, including messaging and positioning.
  • Ability to translate technical product capabilities into clear, differentiated messaging for key personas such as Executives, DevSecOps, and platform teams.
  • Experience in collaborating with engineering and product teams to understand product features and roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to track the competitive landscape and emerging trends to define product differentiation and value drivers.
  • Experience in campaign and content planning for security portfolios, including managing messaging for paid and social media promotion.
  • Ability to use data and insights to iterate on demand generation strategies and optimize conversion throughout the funnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling abilities to craft messaging that resonates with both technical and business audiences.
  • Experience in demand generation and understanding how to translate go-to-market strategies into pipeline growth.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with product, sales, partners, and marketing teams.
  • A passion for technology and open source, with enthusiasm for innovation, software, and community-driven development.
  • Growth mindset with a focus on experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Location based remotely in the EMEA region.
