Job Description
A software engineer role focused on developing and maintaining open source IoT applications and industrial edge solutions on Linux-based platforms, involving collaboration, debugging, and implementing secure, optimized systems for edge computing and AI inference.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement applications for constrained IoT devices and gateways
- Collaborate with a distributed team to develop and maintain open source IoT application packages
- Debug issues and produce high-quality, maintainable code
- Review upstream and internal code contributions
- Experiment with Ubuntu Core to showcase IoT solutions
- Securely deploy IoT platforms on Linux
- Build optimized AI solutions for local inference on Ubuntu
Requirements
- Proven track record of at least 3 years of professional software development using Go or C.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs or asynchronous messaging protocols.
- General knowledge and experience with Linux as a developer platform.
- A Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
