A Jira Administrator at Canonical is responsible for managing and configuring Atlassian Jira Cloud, developing automation and integrations, creating analytical dashboards, and supporting data-driven decision-making across global engineering and business teams in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Atlassian Jira Cloud, including administration, configuration, automation, and integration.
Design, document, and implement processes and automation within Jira.
Create integrations between Jira and data warehouse systems.
Develop analytical dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
Create learning resources to facilitate team understanding and usage of Jira.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and support teams globally.
Own and resolve critical escalations related to Jira and associated systems.
Requirements
Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
Experience with Atlassian Jira and its ecosystem as an administrator
Understanding of common Jira usage patterns for various technical and non-technical departments
Experience as a software developer in Python
Professional written and spoken English
Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
Ability to collaborate remotely with a diverse set of team members and stakeholders, remain highly motivated, productive, and organized in a fully remote environment
Ability to travel internationally twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
