Job Description
A Jira Administrator at Canonical is responsible for managing and configuring Atlassian Jira Cloud, developing automation and integrations, creating analytical dashboards, and supporting data-driven decision-making across global engineering and business teams in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Atlassian Jira Cloud, including administration, configuration, automation, and integration.
- Design, document, and implement processes and automation within Jira.
- Create integrations between Jira and data warehouse systems.
- Develop analytical dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Create learning resources to facilitate team understanding and usage of Jira.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and support teams globally.
- Own and resolve critical escalations related to Jira and associated systems.
Requirements
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and its ecosystem as an administrator
- Understanding of common Jira usage patterns for various technical and non-technical departments
- Experience as a software developer in Python
- Professional written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
- Ability to collaborate remotely with a diverse set of team members and stakeholders, remain highly motivated, productive, and organized in a fully remote environment
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
