Job Description

A Product Marketing Manager for IoT Embedded Systems at Canonical is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, crafting compelling messaging, and driving adoption of Canonical's IoT solutions across various industries, working remotely within the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for IoT products
  • Create compelling messaging and positioning for IoT solutions targeting technical and business audiences
  • Lead content development including website copy, whitepapers, blogs, and sales materials
  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to implement integrated marketing campaigns
  • Launch new products and features, driving awareness and adoption
  • Conduct competitive analysis and adjust positioning based on market trends
  • Support customer engagement strategies to drive growth, upselling, and cross-selling
  • Plan and execute global events, webinars, and community meetups aligned with GTM priorities

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of IoT, embedded systems, and edge computing to drive adoption and commercial success of Canonical's IoT portfolio.
  • Experience in developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for IoT products.
  • Ability to craft clear, technical, and business-oriented messaging that resonates with developers, engineers, and decision-makers in the IoT space.
  • Experience in leading content planning with product managers, including website copy, whitepapers, blogs, and sales enablement materials.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing plans that drive awareness and adoption of IoT solutions.
  • Experience in launching new products and features, leading cross-functional teams to drive awareness and adoption.
  • Ability to run competitive analysis, stay ahead of market trends, and evolve positioning accordingly.
  • Experience in collaborating with regional marketing teams to execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive pipeline growth.
  • Experience in planning and executing global events, live webinars, and community meetups aligned with GTM priorities.
  • Strong storytelling skills to craft messaging that resonates with both technical and business audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for technology and open source, with enthusiasm for innovation, software, and community-driven development.
  • Growth mindset with a focus on experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work remotely within the EMEA region.
  • Experience in product marketing for enterprise software, cloud, DevOps, or open-source solutions (preferred).
  • Experience with demand generation and translating GTM strategies into pipeline growth (preferred).
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with product, sales, partners, and marketing teams (preferred).
