Job Description

A Product Marketing Manager for IoT Embedded Systems at Canonical is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, crafting compelling messaging, and driving adoption of Canonical's IoT solutions across various industries, working closely with cross-functional teams in a remote, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for IoT products
  • Create compelling messaging and positioning for IoT solutions
  • Lead content development for marketing materials and sales enablement
  • Collaborate on marketing campaigns and partner with regional teams
  • Launch new products and features to drive awareness and adoption
  • Conduct competitive analysis and adjust market positioning accordingly
  • Support customer engagement strategies to promote growth and upselling
  • Plan and execute global events, webinars, and community meetups

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of IoT, embedded systems, and edge computing to drive adoption and commercial success of Canonical's IoT portfolio
  • Experience in developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for IoT products
  • Ability to craft clear, technical, and business-oriented messaging that resonates with developers, engineers, and decision-makers in the IoT space
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing plans that drive awareness and adoption of IoT solutions
  • Experience in leading content planning with product managers, including website copy, whitepapers, blogs, and sales enablement materials
  • Ability to collaborate on marketing campaigns with regional marketing teams to execute integrated campaigns that drive pipeline growth
  • Experience in launching new products and features, leading cross-functional teams to drive awareness and adoption
  • Ability to run competitive analysis, stay ahead of market trends, and evolve positioning accordingly
  • Experience in supporting customer success teams on driving customer engagement and growth, including strategies to upsell and cross-sell
  • Experience in planning and executing global events, live webinars, and community meetups aligned with GTM priorities
  • Strong storytelling skills to craft messaging that resonates with both technical and business audiences
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Passion for technology and open source, with enthusiasm for innovation, software, and community-driven development
  • Growth mindset, thriving on experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, sales, partners, and marketing teams
