Job Description
A Product Marketing Manager for IoT Embedded Systems at Canonical is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, crafting compelling messaging, and driving adoption of Canonical's IoT solutions across various industries, working closely with cross-functional teams in a remote, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for IoT products
- Create compelling messaging and positioning for IoT solutions
- Lead content development for marketing materials and sales enablement
- Collaborate on marketing campaigns and partner with regional teams
- Launch new products and features to drive awareness and adoption
- Conduct competitive analysis and adjust market positioning accordingly
- Support customer engagement strategies to promote growth and upselling
- Plan and execute global events, webinars, and community meetups
Requirements
- Deep understanding of IoT, embedded systems, and edge computing to drive adoption and commercial success of Canonical's IoT portfolio
- Experience in developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for IoT products
- Ability to craft clear, technical, and business-oriented messaging that resonates with developers, engineers, and decision-makers in the IoT space
- Experience in developing and executing marketing plans that drive awareness and adoption of IoT solutions
- Experience in leading content planning with product managers, including website copy, whitepapers, blogs, and sales enablement materials
- Ability to collaborate on marketing campaigns with regional marketing teams to execute integrated campaigns that drive pipeline growth
- Experience in launching new products and features, leading cross-functional teams to drive awareness and adoption
- Ability to run competitive analysis, stay ahead of market trends, and evolve positioning accordingly
- Experience in supporting customer success teams on driving customer engagement and growth, including strategies to upsell and cross-sell
- Experience in planning and executing global events, live webinars, and community meetups aligned with GTM priorities
- Strong storytelling skills to craft messaging that resonates with both technical and business audiences
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion for technology and open source, with enthusiasm for innovation, software, and community-driven development
- Growth mindset, thriving on experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, sales, partners, and marketing teams
