Job Description
A leadership role managing an engineering team focused on optimizing Ubuntu for the latest silicon hardware across Linux stack components, working closely with major technology partners to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions for IoT and server platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers to design and implement Ubuntu integration for new hardware platforms and software stacks.
- Engage with commercial partners to deliver optimized Ubuntu experiences on their platforms.
- Manage relationships with key technology partners to ensure timely project milestone delivery.
- Oversee technical delivery, ensuring adherence to quality and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on product architecture and roadmaps.
- Develop and mentor engineering team members through coaching and feedback.
Requirements
- Technical leadership experience and a background in software engineering are necessary prerequisites for this role.
- Experience working with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and high performance, server-class hardware.
- Experience managing or leading a team of software engineers.
- Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- A bachelor’s or equivalent university level degree, preferably in a technology field.
