Job Description
A leadership role managing an engineering team focused on optimizing Ubuntu for the latest silicon hardware across Linux stack components, including kernel to GUI, while collaborating with major silicon partners to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers to design and implement Ubuntu integration for new hardware platforms and software stacks
- Engage with commercial partners to deliver optimized Ubuntu experiences on their platforms
- Manage relationships with key technology partners to ensure timely project milestone delivery
- Oversee technical delivery, ensuring quality and reliability standards are met
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on product architecture and roadmaps
- Develop and mentor engineering team members to enhance their skills and performance
Requirements
- Technical leadership experience and a background in software engineering are necessary prerequisites for this role.
- Experience working with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and high performance, server-class hardware.
- Experience managing or leading a team of software engineers.
- Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- A bachelor’s or equivalent university level degree, preferably in a technology field.
