Key Responsibilities
Collaborate proactively with a distributed team to develop and improve software features
Write high-quality code for new features and bug fixes in Golang and other languages
Debug Linux system-level issues to ensure robustness and performance
Review code produced by other engineers to maintain code quality
Discuss ideas and collaborate on solutions for software development challenges
Ensure software robustness against unexpected events such as power outages
Requirements
Professional software development experience using Go, Python, C, or C
General knowledge and experience with Linux as a developer platform, including Linux system-level fundamentals such as cgroups, namespaces, and apparmor
A Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field
Commitment to software testing, code reviews, and maintainable code
Ability to collaborate proactively with a distributed team, write high quality code to create new features, debug Linux system level issues, review code produced by other engineers, and discuss ideas to find good solutions
Experience or strong interest in working on mission-critical Golang code, focused on software delivery, containers, security sandboxing, telemetry, and device management
Ability to work from home with the flexibility to travel globally for up to two weeks, twice a year
