Job Description
A leadership role overseeing a team of Field engineers in presales and professional services, focusing on solution architecture, design, and delivery for IoT solutions using embedded Linux technologies, with an emphasis on customer engagement and technical mentorship in a remote, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services
- Solve customer problems by promoting technologies and acting as a trusted advisor
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback to team members
- Plan, manage, and track progress on goals and projects
- Represent the team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers
- Develop and evangelize engineering and organizational practices
- Collaborate with leadership and other teams to achieve strategic objectives
Requirements
- Location in one of the three Geos (Americas, EMEA, or APAC) to manage a team spanning few timezones, as this is a remote role.
- Lead and develop a team of Field engineers, ranging from graduate to senior, in the areas of Presales and Professional Services.
- Experience of managing a small team.
- Solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and being a trusted advisor.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback to team members.
- Identify and measure team health indicators.
- Implement disciplined engineering processes.
- Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.
- Be an active part of the leadership team, collaborating with other leaders.
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive embedded Linux experience, including Yocto or other similar tools.
- Extensive Linux experience, with a preference for Debian or Ubuntu.
- Fluency in at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Ability to manage a small team.
- Experience with customer engagements.
- Professional written and spoken English skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
- Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments.
- Ability to communicate the business benefits of technology.
- A humble learner and quick study.
