Job Description
A project management role responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of complex enterprise software projects involving open source, cloud, and Linux technologies, while engaging stakeholders and managing risks in a globally remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are delivered within schedule, scope, cost, and resource expectations
- Identify and mitigate technical and project risks and issues
- Maintain strong customer focus and engage stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
- Conduct regular status meetings and business reviews with customers
- Manage delivery schedules of critical third-party deliverables
- Advocate appropriate technologies from Canonical's portfolio to customers
- Drive project success while managing risks
Requirements
- Experience in Enterprise IT Programs, Process Improvement, and Software Engineering Project Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience leading cross-cultural, remote and global project teams and customers
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Deep understanding of Linux, Open Source, and Cloud Technologies
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline
- Project Management Certification, preferably PMP or equivalent certification
- Agile Project Management certification, preferably Scrum Master or equivalent certification
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
