Job Description
A senior leadership role within Canonical's Talent Science team, responsible for delivering strategic talent selection projects, developing processes, coaching team members, and working closely with company leadership to ensure high-performance hiring outcomes in a remote, EMEA-based setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the strategic Talent Science project roadmap, managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Design and implement solutions to complex talent selection problems aligned with high performance outcomes and career frameworks
- Develop professional processes and frameworks for talent selection in collaboration with management
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance analytical capabilities and thought leadership skills
- Drive talent selection initiatives to ensure they meet desired outcomes and organizational goals
- Act as a credible adviser and leader in the absence of the Head of Talent Science
- Work closely with company leaders to communicate and align on talent vision and strategies
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in a psychology or people based subject.
- A proven track record of team leadership within the technology or consulting industry, with exceptional project management skills to lead roadmap delivery and product development.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring a team to deliver exceptional results.
- Deep understanding of selection processes, career frameworks, and building internal products to ensure talent selection criteria match desired outcomes.
- Advanced analytical ability to dissect and analyze data using SQL, Python, and statistical analysis.
- Exceptional written and spoken English with strong presentation skills suitable for a senior audience.
- Ability to travel internationally 4 times a year for company events.
