This role involves leading and managing a team of cloud solutions engineers to design, deploy, and support open source cloud solutions for customers, while also participating in technical presales and fostering team development in a remote, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of engineers across various experience levels
Coach, mentor, and provide career development guidance to team members
Design and deploy private and public cloud solutions using technologies like Openstack, Kubernetes, Ceph, and others
Participate in technical presales activities by providing expert advice and solutions
Manage project progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results
Represent the team and products to stakeholders, partners, and customers
Implement disciplined engineering processes and measure team health indicators
Collaborate with other teams and leadership to align on engineering roadmaps and organizational practices
Requirements
Lead and develop a team of engineers, ranging from graduate to senior, and provide coaching, mentoring, and career development feedback.
Identify and measure team health indicators and implement disciplined engineering processes.
Represent the team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.
Participate actively in technical presales to help achieve departmental quarterly goals.
Have knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as Kubernetes, Openstack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph, etc.
Possess practical knowledge of Linux and networking.
Have experience in technical presales activities.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Show passion and a track record of developing and growing engineering talent.
Have experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers.
Be organized and able to ensure the team delivers timely, high-quality results.
Have an exceptional academic track record from high school and preferably university.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, attending internal company events, external tech events, and customer meetings.
