This position involves supporting the design and analysis of structural systems for various building types under the supervision of a licensed engineer, utilizing engineering software and BIM tools, and assisting with construction documentation and site observations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and analyze structural systems for various building types under supervision
Perform design calculations using engineering software
Create BIM models and produce Contract Documents including plans, sections, and details
Coordinate structural systems with overall building design with the design team
Review shop drawings during construction
Conduct field observations and site walk-throughs during construction
Requirements
Master in Civil Engineering with Structural focus, Master in Structural Engineering or Master of Architectural Engineering Structural emphasis from an ABET accredited program is required by hire date.
Related student internship work experience preferred.
EIT (Engineer in Training) accreditation preferred.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Must have strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, RAM, RISA required.
Willingness to perform overtime work.
