Job Description

This role involves leading the development, quality oversight, and coordination of technical documentation for large, complex construction projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while guiding project teams through quality processes and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, assembly, and quality oversight of technical documentation for large or multiple projects.
  • Manage and monitor the integrated quality review processes across all disciplines.
  • Coordinate staffing and schedule quality reviews for all project disciplines.
  • Guide the development and updates of the Project Quality Plan and ensure compliance with technical standards.
  • Review and guide the planning of each project phase's drawing document deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to technical document standards and policies.
  • Facilitate coordination among disciplines, including external consultants, to ensure project quality.
  • Monitor project metrics and early risk indicators to mitigate potential issues.
  • Support and mentor project staff to foster continuous quality improvement.
  • Lead technical aspects of construction documentation and administration on complex projects, especially healthcare projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum 12 years of related professional experience.
  • Experience includes 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and or commercial projects.
  • At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional and or commercial projects.
  • Experience leading all technical aspects with production teams on large, complex projects of more than 200 million dollars in construction costs.
  • Must have experience designing, documenting, coordinating, and administering the construction of significant healthcare projects.
  • Expertise in healthcare codes, standards, and familiarity with proven solutions to address conflicting requirements between building authorities, client needs, construction technologies, and insurance provisions.
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
  • The ability to obtain Architectural Registration in Arkansas strongly preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Must be able to lead large, complex, or multiple projects.
  • Must have strong subject matter expertise.
  • Must possess strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated focus on quality.
  • Strong technical leadership with knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  • Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong coordination skills and the ability to build rapport with the project team and client.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
