Job Description

This position is a senior-level architectural specialist role focused on leading design projects, providing technical expertise, mentoring team members, and collaborating with clients on large-scale laboratory facilities, with an emphasis on innovative, sustainable design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead high-level specialist role as a subject matter expert on S T projects, focusing on team and client leadership, mentoring, and improving work quality.
Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning for projects.
Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
Communicate planning concepts to project teams and owners through reports, graphics, and verbal explanations.
Develop, modify, and review planning concepts and solutions.
Create architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning concepts into construction documentation.
Develop project scope, plan, and services during the contract process.
Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree required.
Minimum 10 years of related experience required.
Must have previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the S T market.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Must have advanced knowledge in discipline.
Must possess business acumen.
Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to lead less experienced team members.
Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required.
Ability to travel as project needs require, with candidates that are not local to the project site expected to travel up to 50% of the time.
