Job Description

This role involves leading planning and programming efforts on Science and Technology projects under the supervision of a licensed Architect, including developing innovative solutions, collaborating with project teams, communicating concepts to clients, and integrating sustainable design practices to meet client goals and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and programming for Science Technology projects under a licensed Architect.
  • Develop innovative solutions and respond to evolving research needs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
  • Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program requirements and assess space utilization.
  • Communicate planning concepts to clients, designers, and project teams through reports and presentations.
  • Work with architectural designers to optimize plans aligning with owner goals.
  • Translate planning concepts into project documentation, including architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Assist in developing project scope, plans, and services during contract negotiations.
  • Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide guidance to team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree required.
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience required.
  • Must have prior experience performing as a subject matter expert on Science Technology (ST) projects.
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  • Must possess business acumen.
  • Must be a critical thinker.
  • Must be highly analytical.
  • Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
  • Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client is essential.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to be client facing.
