This position involves managing project billing processes, reviewing invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contracts, and collaborating with project managers across architectural, engineering, and construction projects both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project billing and collaborate with project managers for architectural, engineering, consulting, and construction projects.
Prepare and review client invoices accurately and timely on a monthly basis.
Review and code consultant invoices against project budgets and contract terms.
Understand project progress and explain large variances in work in progress.
Coordinate collection correspondence and invoice processing.
Ensure completeness of invoicing and assemble documentation for billing audits.
Assist with year-end audit schedules.
Requirements
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage priorities effectively.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate self-sufficiency in most aspects of the job.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in billing or project accounting.
Associates degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
Baseline knowledge of general accounting practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required.
Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.
Ability to prepare client invoices accurately and timely on a monthly basis.
Ability to review consultant invoices for accuracy according to contract budget and timeliness of payments.
Ability to review consultant invoices against project budgets and correctly code to project accounts.
Ability to understand and execute contract terms per client contract.
Ability to work with Project Managers to understand project progress related to billing.
Ability to review work in progress and explain large variances.
Ability to assemble documentation for billing audits and assist with year-end audit schedules.
