This intermediate-level interior design position involves leading and coordinating all phases of interior projects for a large healthcare facility, including design development, documentation, client interaction, and site visits, within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of interior design project goals through all phases, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Evaluate client needs, analyze design objectives, and document spatial requirements.
Research, evaluate, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) throughout project phases.
Coordinate design work, standards, and code compliance within the team and with other disciplines.
Develop interior space designs, including floor plans, elevations, details, and finishes.
Select materials and consult with vendors.
Produce drawings that meet project time, budget, and quality constraints.
Assist in project planning, budgeting, and work plan follow-through.
Participate in construction administration activities such as site visits, review of submittals, and punch list creation.
Mentor and supervise less experienced interior design staff.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
Must be design focused.
Must be an independent thinker.
Must be analytical.
Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Travel as required.
Professional business attire is required for client meetings, including suits, ties, collared dress shirts, dresses, and skirts.
