This intermediate-level interior design position involves leading project development through all phases, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, producing design drawings, evaluating materials, and participating in construction administration, primarily within healthcare projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of project goals through all phases including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Evaluate client needs, analyze design objectives, and document spatial requirements.
Research, evaluate, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) throughout project phases.
Coordinate design work, standards, and code compliance within the team and with other disciplines.
Develop interior space designs, including floor plans, elevations, details, and finishes.
Select materials and consult with vendors.
Produce drawings adhering to project constraints in time, budget, and quality.
Assist in project planning, budgeting, and work plan follow-through.
Participate in and lead client meetings.
Mentor and supervise less experienced interior design staff.
Participate in construction administration activities such as site visits, review of submittals, and punch list completion.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
Minimum of 6 years of related experience required, with experience on healthcare projects strongly preferred.
Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
Must be design focused.
Must be an independent thinker.
Must be analytical.
Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Travel as required.
