Job Description
This position is a senior specialist role in architecture and design, focusing on health projects, where the candidate will lead project planning, client relations, mentoring, and develop innovative, sustainable design solutions while ensuring high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in programming and planning for health projects
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine project needs and assess space utilization
- Communicate planning concepts to project teams, clients, and designers through reports and presentations
- Develop, modify, and review planning concepts and solutions
- Create architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning into construction documents
- Develop project scope, plan, and services during contract negotiations
- Integrate sustainable design solutions into projects
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Guide and advise less experienced team members on project execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects
- Previous experience working on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the health market
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline
- Must possess business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to be client facing
- Ability to lead less experienced team members
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam software
