Job Description
This role involves leading the Education market segment within CannonDesign's Denver office, focusing on business development, client engagement, team leadership, and strategic growth to achieve market and financial goals while promoting Living-Centered Design principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-performance teams focused on the Education market.
- Develop and execute the Market Business Plan to drive market growth and differentiation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve top-line revenue targets.
- Engage with clients at high levels to lead project work and foster long-term relationships.
- Represent and promote the market externally and internally through speaking, writing, and branding activities.
- Advance strategic initiatives, including client pursuit strategies and market differentiation.
- Manage the overall financial performance of the market, ensuring profitability and growth.
- Mentor, assess, and recruit staff to build a diverse, high-performing team and future leaders.
- Develop and implement strategies for market intelligence, differentiation, and global practice improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
- Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering preferred.
- Must have 12 years minimum experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
- Strong presentations skills are essential.
- Exceptional client and people leadership skills required.
- Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully is essential.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
- Some travel required.
